Whidden Park Campground is the perfect base for your Maritime vacation. Located in Antigonish, we’re we’re halfway between Halifax and Sydney and at the gateway to Cape Breton – an ideal stopping place! Swimming pools and games provide endless entertainment on-site and, with downtown Antigonish just off our doorstep, there’s plenty more to see and do nearby!

Campground

Our campground offers everything you need for a great stay in downtown Antigonish.

Here’s an overview of some of our features:

  • We offer great free WiFi to keep you connected, park-wide.
  • Guests have free use of our two salt water swimming pools, one of which is heated. We also have two playgrounds.
  • Other in-Park activities include Basketball, horseshoe pits, giant checkers and a Recreation Hall.
  • Our clean washroom facilities receive a great deal of praise. The buildings are heated and feature coin-operated showers and handicap access.
  • A laundromat is located on-site for your convenience.
  • Security officers are on-staff to enforce Park rules and ensure peace of mind.

Our campsites feature:

  • Electricty, Water, and Sewer hookups are available at serviced sites.
  • Unserviced sites are available for tents and vans.
  • Most serviced sites have 30 Amp Power, but we also have a small number of 50 Amp sites
  • Pull-Throughs and Back-Ins are available. We have open and shaded sites.

Site Selection Policy:

Please note that when placing a reservation we cannot guarantee a specific site number. Whenever possible, we give current guests the opportunity to renew their sites before new guests arrive. If you have a reservation, you are guaranteed a suitable spot with the services you were promised. We just won’t know which exact site it will be until your arrival. Current guests will not be allowed to renew if there is nowhere else that is suitable for arrivals who have pre-booked. Most of the time we do have a number of spots open when people check-in and, if so, you’ll be able to take your pick from what is available.
